Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
